Scream at the Economy from Daniel Dean on Vimeo.

This is video documentation of a social sculpture performance that incorporates audio compositions from several collaborators. Collaborating with Floating Lab Collective, we collected screams from everyday folks, sent these screams to musical collaborators to turn into compositions that were then broadcast through "screamers" in front of relevant financial and governmental institutions as a response to the current economic crisis. The screamers were designed by us and fabricated to include mobile audio equipment for projection of the compositions.

This cinematic essay inspired by my grandfather. It is a single channel video that incorporates projections of vintage 40's films, commercials and newsreels, audio from my grandfathers sermons and my own voice.

This video documents the gallery installation view of a 3 channel projection, each of separate lengths & soundtrack, which are looped continuously. The videos are created from over 12,000 still images of me sleeping.
